LOCAL FIRSTHONEST BY DESIGN

Small helper.
Visible machinery.

Bitzi is a static, local-first AI workbench. The interface shows when a capability is local, when a network request is made, and when a tool is not connected yet.

01

Your browser is the app

The interface, chat history, permissions, and model runtime live in the browser. No account or mandatory backend is required.

02

The model is opt-in

Bitzi checks for WebGPU first. The approximately 3.8 GB Bonsai model is requested only after you choose Load Local Brain and confirm the download.

03

Network tools stay visible

General website search runs only when search is enabled and the prompt asks for outside information. Brave finds pages, Cloudflare Browser Run reads the strongest results, and Wikipedia remains a visible fallback.

04

No pretend tools

Selected PDF, Word, text, data, and code files are read locally and shown before use. Python remains labelled unavailable until its real runtime exists.
